GPS Expander board EB33
The EB33 is designed to expand the capabilities of our Alti-Force Sensor Pack and give you GPS with your GoPro videos recorded on Hero4 cameras. The added GPS data allows you to add Speed and Distance to your videos, much like our Alti-Force GPS mobile app, but without the need to use WiFi. Also included is a vibrator motor for haptic feedback mimicking LED flashes … now know your Alti-Force status with sight AND feeling!
GPS is captured with the SkyTraQ Venus838 chipset and an external antenna. Since the Hero4 cameras are known to interfere with GPS signals, we offer this external antenna option to acquire quality GPS signal, and Fast! With position updates coming in every ~0.04 seconds, you are sure to capture even the quickest run in detail. Use the data to display on-screen subtitles, overlay it as visual gauges with DashWare, or open in Maps to view the path traveled.
We offer the EB33 kit in two ways:
A kit of parts for you to retro-fit into your existing Alti-Force SP30, which requires you to drill a few holes in your case, OR a partially assembled kit supplied with the EB33 installed in a replacement back for your SP30 case. The EB33 cable plugs directly into the SP30 port (inside the case) and the antenna connector (SMA) sticks out the back of the camera/SP30 awaiting your antenna. Note: the protruding SMA connector requires the use of either a Frame mount or a Skeleton Accessory Backdoor.
If you are new to Alti-Force and also need the SP30, we offer a fully assembled SP30 + EB33 package.
